Hope African Support Services (Hope Africa) »
A community support group set up by volunteers to address the heath issues of people of African origin in Surrey. This includes sexual health and HIV, an isolating condition with a great deal of stigma attached to it. Hope Africa provides a safe and welcoming space for its core membership of more than fifteen people. It organises activities and sessions to provide users with information about training, job opportunities and support on welfare and other issues. The group also welcomes its members' families and carers. Further activities include social events, meditation sessions and day trips.

The School of Oriental and Religious Studies provides specialist education in the community. The teaching of Arabic and Islam to young people and adults in conducive learning environments. Established since 1997 the School has seen over 600 sucsessful students through it's doors. The School also runs educational support classes for Maths and English.
