SCC has drafted its Single Equality Scheme with SMEF members' help

28/07/2010

Back in February, a workshop was held at Parkview Community Centre in Sheerwater, Woking, during which Surrey County Council consulted with a range of SMEF members on its proposed Single Equality Scheme. Development of this Scheme is an integral part of the Council's duty to give due regard to eliminating racial discrimination, to promoting equal opportunity and to promoting good relations between different racial groups.

A draft Single Equality Scheme has now been drafted in partnership with you, SMEF's members, amongst many other Surrey residents. The Council would value any further comments you wish to make through a new survey which runs from 17th June to 30th September. It is available online if you click here or the contact centre can help you if you'd like an alternative format, a paper copy or if you prefer to do the survey by telephone. You can telephone them on 03456 009 009 or Minicom 020 8541 9698.

The Council are very grateful for the support and involvement of Surrey's communities. Pari Dhillon, Senior Manager Corporate Policy at SCC, says

"We at Surrey County Council wish to thank you for your continued support and we look forward to your comments"
